Mandela Day 6.7km FUN WALK
Mandela Day is an annual international day in honor of Nelson Mandela, celebrated each year on Mandela’s birthday.
Join us on Friday 18th July from 9:00am to 13:00pm for a 6.7km FUN WALK, Sport grounds Bella Vista, as part of Mandela Day celebration. This year the event aims to raise awareness of TB and Child Wellness and our goal is to collect 670 blankets that will be donated to the paediatric ward in Brewelskloof hospital, knowned to treat TB patients, our own Ceres hospital and Steinthal Youth and Care Centre. This iconic event offers more than a walk – it’s a celebration of heritage, resilience and community spirit.
ENTRY IS FREE and registration is super easy and quick. Just follow the link to register and remember to bring a fleece blanket as donation to the starting point.
The Togryers museum and Omgee Winkel are two drop-off points where the community can donate their fleece blankets.
