The Togryers Museum begins with a crowdfunding campaign that kicks off on May 3 until May 31. The purpose of this is to raise funds for the restoration of our building.  Covid has a huge impact on our financial situation and our operational budget is extremely limited.

After an investigation of our building by engineers, their recommendation was that the condition of the buildings is of such a nature that we must start with repairs before the winter season. If not, it will not only be damaging the building further, but possibly also our collection.  The aim of the fundraising is R60 000.00.   We really need the help of the community to make sure that we can undertake all the necessary maintenance work that will protect our collection.

How to donate: Cooperative companies/businesses can donate via EFT and individuals can make a direct payment via the Payfast Platform .  We are aware that these are challenging times for everyone, but trust that we can rely on our community for help.  The museum is prominently positioned in the community and add value to the community, not only through our collection and history, but also on a social level with various projects and educational programs. We trust that this urgent and important matter will encourage you to act and support our cause.
