In all that time only two major uprisings of enslaved people are known. One of those took place two hundred years ago, at the start of February 1825, in the Koue Bokkeveld. The Togryers Museum has worked with an international team to commemorate the event, both at Ceres and on the internet. The short documentary, &#8220;Runaways, Resistance and Revolution- Resistance to Slavery at the Cape of Good Hope&#8221;, was created by Paul Weinberg and Grant Parker to tell the story of slave resistance at the Cape.
